Company Background:

Tailwind Short Term Rentals is an Airbnb rental company in Columbus, Ohio that provides housing for travelers throughout their journey. With over 50 units as of 2020 and plans to expand, Tailwind Short Term Rentals is looking to grow their team of friendly staff.

Position Background:

We are looking to hire 3-4 cleaners to clean Airbnb’s on a weekly basis. Each cleaner will be assigned to 5 Airbnb units in which they will be responsible for. They are a mix of studio and one bedroom apartments located in the area of Short North/Ohio State. All properties will be located in the same area if not the same building.

The cleaner will be paid $14.00/hr as 1099 contractor for the cleaning which will include cleaning the units on a multiple times a week basis (as guests check in throughout the week). The cleaner will also have to do laundry for the dirty linens, towels, etc at an external location where you will be paid the same $14.00/hr rate for the time it takes to do the laundry. Basic cleaning supplies are provided for use if needed, but preferred to have your own as we only provide basic lysol wipes, windex, lysol spray, and febreeze cleaner.

Each unit has bed sheets, towels, and facecloths that need to be replaced with clean ones. Toilet paper and other general supplies refreshed (we provide these). General sweeping, sanitizing, and wiping down of surfaces. Occasional deeper cleans are necessary. Currently, each studio unit takes about 45 minutes to turnover from our current cleaner (+ additional time to do laundry offsite).

Cleanings will have to be done between 11am to 3:30pm during the day from Mon – Sun depending on when guests check in. I would estimate at least 5-6x a week you will need to be available to clean the unit, probably around 2-3 turnovers a week per a unit (some guests stay multiple days). Some weekdays no guests check in, but with 5 assigned Airbnb’s this chance decreases. Sundays can be pretty hectic with multiple guests checking out Sunday morning from their weekend stays. Guests check in Mon – Sun so cleaner will need to be available on a daily basis. The busiest days tend to be Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon.

Skills Needed:

Ability to clean places extremely well

Attention to detail so to not miss anything

Ability to show up on time and on a short times notice

Accountability for your cleaning performance

Requirements:

Reliable access to a car so can drive to unit locations

Flexibility with hours Mon-Sun 11-4pm, busiest days are Fri, Sat, Sun.

Ability to be a hard worker and get things done

Compensation:

The basic compensation is $14.00/hr with the likelihood of bonuses.
